With responsibilities and demands higher than ever, and the expectation to balance being taken for granted, it is no surprise that anxiety is on the rise. If you are plagued by feelings of emptiness or stress, I work with you to identify the source, be it is something in your present life or a pattern of behavior that developed in childhood, to treat it at its root.
Relationships are hard- whether you are in one or want one, it is common to feel frustrated with love. Often times, the work we need to do to better our current relationships, or to attract the "right" partner, lies within ourselves. When we are the best version of ourselves, then we create a healthier environment to allow relationships to thrive. To deepen our connection to others, we must first practice connecting with ourselves.
My Couples Therapy sessions are a safe space to help couples unpack their issues. Together, we develop skills and attitudes to create a healthier and more fulfilling relationship. Whatever the issue, whether your relationship needs a "tune up," you are trying to rebuild after infidelity, or you are trying to figure out how to co-parent after an inevitable divorce, having a skilled clinician to help guide you through challenges can feel like a lifeline.
When our safety or the safety of a loved one is threatened, we may be left with unprocessed feelings, memories, and somatic symptoms. This can feel heavy and hopeless. I guide my patients every step of the way to help them overcome traumatic events and move forward stronger than ever.
Teen Family Therapy
Adolescence is full of transitions and identity development. The confusion and pressure from this period can impact teens' daily well-being. In my therapy sessions, we’ll work to solve current problems and improve positive thinking, mood and behavior, along with valuable tools to cope with family, friends, and academics. My work with your teen may include some family therapy or parental coaching sessions to facilitate our work.
