Deborah M. Shoham, Ph.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist #PSY30162
Life can present us with many challenges and choosing the right therapist, with whom you connect, can provide you with a the support and tools to tackle even the most difficult circumstances. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I set a tone that is practical, straightforward, and supportive, allowing for the process of therapy to feel deep and productive.
I am an expert in identifying and building on personal strengths in order to enhance your healing process and growth. As such, I use my skills to treat a wide range of disorders including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, issues related to self-esteem, body image issues and disordered eating, OCD, and issues with addiction. I work with my clients, including adults, couples, and teens, to create a safe space to share, heal, grow, and thrive.
After receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from UCLA, I went on to complete my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology with an academic emphasis in family, children, and couples. My therapeutic experiences span 6 years working in university/college counseling centers and community mental health centers across Southern California; most notably Cal State Fullerton Counseling and Psychological Services, Santa Monica College Center for Wellness and Wellbeing, Coastline Community College Acquired Injury Program, and Didi Hirsch Family and Child Services.
